Horticulture Calendar for February

Our maintenance clients can expect the following services this month.

• Deep root fertilization as needed for trees and some shrubs
• Prune roses on Valentine's Day
• Pansy maintenance
• Fertilize daffodils
• Winter pruning, including limbing up trees
• Monitor and treat for scale and aphids
• Turf fertilization begins with pre-emergent herbicide
• Systemic insecticide treatment for shrubs (only for historically insect-prone plants)
